CEC seeks volunteers

We are currently looking for volunteers for our Family learning project.

CEC is looking for volunteers with a sense of humour and patience, old and young, who can give one or two afternoons per week (3pm to 5pm) during term time, to assist our two project workers.

The work would involve support for homework tasks and hands-on involvement with arts and crafts, games, science club, gardening, and cookery.

Between 15 and 20 children make their way up to CEC every afternoon to get support for their homework, take their turn on the computers, join in with games, arts and crafts and make new friends.

If you’re a student teacher wanting to get some hands-on work experience, or a retired teacher looking to voluntary work, or you’re interested in working with children and increase their enjoyment for learning, please contact Conway Education Centre at 02890 248543 or use our online webform.
