Dementia is becoming more common worldwide with Alzheimers NI estimating that there are currently around 900,000 people with dementia in the UK. The OCN NI Level 1 Award in Supporting Individuals Living with Dementia qualification has been designed to provide an understanding of how to support individuals with dementia and how to seek support and advice for those affected by dementia. This course can be very useful for individuals who know someone with dementia as by engaging with the resources and exchanging views with others, you will gain knowledge, skills, and confidence in dealing with people with dementia. This course will run for five weeks.
